In 2017 I bought a new phone after my old one's screen had broken the second time in a month. I was fed up with it's speed and lack of storage, so I got a new one. I didn't really put much thought into this, but it turned out to be a very good idea.

I bought the Oneplus 5T, mostly because I got a good discount being a student. It had 128G of storage, was dual sim and had a headphone jack. By this time the craze of removing features from phones had been going on for a while and I knew I really wanted my phone to be compatible with my earbuds. (I won't talk about why this is important to me here, and I think enough has been said on the subject specifically to allow me to just move on here).

A few years went by without my phone really needing any service. My screen got scratched, but never broke, the back got kinda beat up but never
