+# Maintenance logs
+
+This directory contains maintenance logs (without any sensitive
+information redacted) for each of the machines that is configured and
+controlled via `libkookie`.
+
+Maintenance is considered anything that goes beyond rebuilding a
+system via the standard build process, by running manual commands to
+fix things, or touching the hardware for some reason.

+On `gaia` one of the disks in my encrypted data pool has been throwing
+CKSUM errors.  So I decided to swap the disk.  All disks in the
+`datacore` array are 6TB capacity.  I ordered two cold spares of the
+same make a few weeks ago.  Today I'm taking down the server to swap
+the drives.
+
